Just in time for the April showers, comes our first video in our Spring Gardening Video Series. We will be sharing monthly tips from the teaching gardens at Zilker Botanical Gardens  through the spring into early summer.
In this video, Austin Organic Gardener, Madelynn shares helpful tips on harvesting the last of what may be left of your fall crops, dealing with new visitors (aphids anyone?), companion planting, preparing and fertilizing soil for new plants, and dealing with fluctuating temps and retaining moisture because get ready, it’s going to 90 degrees later this week. We also share some tips about our new 5’ x 5 ‘ square foot garden. If you are just getting into gardening this is a great way to design your beds for the best outcomes. Check out our previous posts for more resources and a planning guide for doing your own square foot garden.
