She will share her story of growing at her grandparents’ farm in the historic St. John Freedmen’s Colony and their farm to table cafe on Airport Boulevard called Ruby’s Kitchen. She is the first black master gardener in Travis County and after years of working in the arts she now has her dream job at Carver Museum. During the pandemic her team turned the decommissioned pool at Carver Museum into what she calls the Sunken Garden. Come jump in and rise with us and be inspired!
