Also known as False dragonhead, this rhizomeous plant has tubular pink/purple flowers from August to November. If you bend one of the flowers in a different direction, it will stay there, hence it's "obedience." Will thrive in clay soil or areas with poor drainage as it requires relatively moist conditions.
