Also known as "Candyleaf," Stevia is a popular natural sweetener that you can grow at home! It has a low glycemic impact and is thought to be 300 times sweeter than regular sugar. Dry the leaves or use fresh in tea, and trim back starting when the plant is 8 inches tall to avoid lankiness and to encourage leaf production. Native to Paraguay and other tropical areas of South America.
